How to reserve and buy train tickets

You can reserve your seat and buy your ticket over the phone by using your charge/credit card on any of the following numbers.

The ticket must be collected from the station that you bought the ticket from and by the card holder, or if it is a corporate charge/credit card, then a faxed authorisation from the company permitting an individual to collect the ticket will be accepted. The ticket office can post your ticket to you, in which case it needs to be ordered 5 days before you travel.

Alternatively, to save you having to visit the correct station to buy your ticket, you could reserve your seat and buy your ticket from one of the many British Rail ticket agents in central London. Call National Rail enquiries on 0845 748 4950 for the details of an agent near you.

Reservations by telephone to the British Rail's stations mentioned below can be made using any of the following charge/credit cards; Access/Mastercard, AmEx, Diners Club and Visa.
